“It was a lot of back and forth [to price this watch],” says Wind. “I think the cheap fake Rolex watches without the provenance could somewhere around $100,000. The provenance, to me, probably added three to five x to the value. So that’s kind of how we settled on $500,000.”

Wind has never sold to Drake before, but he’s hopeful that Drake may be the eventual buyer of the Take Care timepiece now that it’s available. It would be a fitting addition to his ridiculous jewelry and watch collection.
“I personally would be thrilled if [Drake] purchased it because it’s one of his most important albums. It’d be cool if it went back to him,” says Wind. “It’d be a great closure to the circle if he bought it. And he is a real collector. He has amazing music memorabilia and jewelry, so it would be a great buy for him.”
